Darkstar The Interactive Movie

Post by sscadmin »

Hey EveryoneI just posted a review of Darkstar to the mainpage (http://spacesimcentral.com/?p=629).I think people will enjoy this title and if you really remember playing FMV games from the early 90's you will enjoy Darkstar. The scifi story is a good one and will definitely keep you hooked. The music is nice and can you believe it took 10yrs to make? I have some of my notes still and I think I could assist people through the game if you get stuck. Just make sure to look everywhere :)

I did have some difficulty at times with lockups on my Win7 64bit system, but doing a save and just reload fixes the issue. Or just a load if you don't care about loosing some progress.

I'd appreciate a few hints PM'd my way please :) Stuck after finding two chapters and opened the hangar doors, nearly prestaged the engines, not sure what to do next

First off how many biolocks have you opened? Should have about 6-7 at this point would be my guess.Did you go outside the ship and repair the coolant tanks yet?You need to find all bio-locks before you can go to the planet and get the water needed to re-fill your coolant tanks. But once you went out and opened the hanger doors you are close. How are you liking Darkstar so far Celticfang?

It's a little touchy with the video sometimes Pinback, there was some help on the website for it. But for me it was mainly because Win7 for me, I think it was more tailored to run on XP or Vista.

I got it running on my xp computer instead of the windoew7 one, I have noticed that the video tend to stall a bit or it jumps between the hot points on the screen.

Yeah its definitely not very smooth it reminds me of player 7th Guest or 11th Hour where the touch points were not the greatest. But one good thing is that it is a point-click style adventure so speedy response and accuracy isn't needed <img src="'http://spacesimcentral.com/forum/public/style_emoticons//icon_e_smile.gif class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
