Hi allStumbled upon your site when reminiscing about the FE2 days. Impressed with what I've seen. and with John Jordan on your team you've going to have it made. (JJFFE was a life saver).Anyway i'm not a coder at all, but I am a writer. I have a lot of projects on at the moment but i'd be interested in contributing somehow, writing backstory, solar system history, ship designs/backgrounds, personalities.I've done a lot of writing for the 'Huge Plasma Accelerator' saga, fan fiction that has been written over the years over at [url]http://www.frontierastro.co.uk/FEU/feu.html[/url] if you want to have a look.I wasn't sure where to go to offer my help, so here I am. Hey! There aren't any Thargoids in Pioneer! Get out of here! :evil:Seriously, great choice for a name, and welcome! Writing custom missions is another area being worked on, also factions. Another thought that comes to mind is magazine subscriptions.

Is there any existing 'storyline' at all? Is it an exact copy of FE2? or did you want a different 'history of things to come'? Any exising information would be good so I know what you are looking for.CheersJohn

Hi John, welcome aboard.As we're fond of saying, the entire political, trade and economy parts of the game are undefined. This includes the fictional basis for political factions, interstellar trade and so on. It's the sort of thing that should probably be developed hand in hand with the fiction, so that neither leaves the other in an untenable position.We have a wiki on Github, and if you fork Pioneer yourself and enable your wiki, you'll get a copy of our wiki. Feel free to populate that with more content. Let us know where your wiki is, and we can have it update the main wiki (it works in the same was as developing code). That way, your ideas can be exposed to the dev team, and discussion can grow.
