adding buildings

Post by rivalin »

Hello all,First off just wanted to say what a great project this is shaping up to be, so many other open source space sims have ended up not getting off the ground, so it's great to see the steady progress Pioneer is making.Anyway, I'm trying to get some new buildings into the game, and the current setup seems like a placeholder, so there's not an obvious example to follow. From what I can see all the buildings seem to be working off a single texture etc, without any discernible UV maps. My question is;1. How are the textures being applied? On one of the custom buildings I've added, they're distorted at odd angles so it doesn't look like solid projection, are UV maps actually supported for buildings?2. If so, what is the process for getting a building into the game, with it's own texture? So far I've found that just adding an obj with it's own uv mapped texture causes an instant CTD when you load a new game.Appreciate any tips.

I haven't made any buildings myself, but there are a couple of threads about it. Here's one, hope it's a start. :) http://www.spacesimcentral.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=2375
