<t>If you liked EvE online but had any of the following thoughts: "Man, this is complex" or "Hmmm, this isn't really space dog fighting" or " I love this game, too bad it's filled with ultra powerful dinks!!" The I'd suggest you head on over and check out vendetta online. I wrote an intro review on ...

<t>There is also these two little gems for the modeling side of things:Art of Illusion http://aoi.sourceforge.net This is a really cool, VERY powerful and completely free 3d modeling program in the vein of 3ds MAX. RE: Socialized Healthcare
<t>This is such a double edged sword. In a "free market" health system (ie the US) you have the profit factor where healthcare providers are forced to think about keeping their busines afloat AND trying to do whats best for the patient, you also get people who get into healthcare not for the good of ...

<r>Not sure D1, The trial period is 8 hours (yeah I thought that was weird too) and though the tutorial missions say they only take a few minutes (each) I hadn't even finished them all by the writing of this review, though I did manage to pass my basic flight test which is required. My day job is ...

Vendetta: my first few hours
<t>So I decided to give Vendetta Online a try to see how it tickled my sci-fi gaming fancy. What follows is my first impressions of the experience.First: Graphics. I had slightly higher expectations until I saw the download was only about 200 megs or so and that this game can be run on most popular ...

<r>That would be cool. I'm grabbing the demo right now. Was this a "we're doing this on our own time cuz the genre needs it" production? or are these guys funded and all that good stuff?Believe it or not, my goal in life was to be a game developer. I even got degrees in both computer science AND ...

This game looked amazing, however, it doesn't seem as there's any new progress. Is it dead or just moving very slowly? I've been wanting this game mostly for it's modding abillities and SP storyline mode.Any gossip? rumors? anything?Leks

RE: 2 Nice pics from X-Rebirth and some info
<r>I'm personaly looking forward to this game. I'm currently playing X3 reunion and plan to spend some time with it before moving on to X:TC and then on to X:AP, so hopefully by the time I'm ready to start x-rebirth, it will be fully patched and on the discount rack <E>;)</E> I'd love it if they ...

RE: X3 is $5 on Steam.
<t>Despite lots of viewpoints to the contrary I think this game is excellent. I currently own: x-beyond the frontier, x2: the threat and X3 reunion. X3 trumps all, add on the free xtended MOD and it turn into a damn fine space adventure. There is an incredibly active MOD community that's actually ...

The download link on the game's page seems to be broken, which is too bad, it looks cool and a good free MMO space game would be where it's at. I recently tried dark space which is free ATM, but as far as I can tell the game is basically a steaming pile...Leks

RE: Why is Space Sim Gaming so unpopular?
<r>If you look back at the primary gamer demographic during the "golden age" of space games, the 13 to 18 year olds then were the same folks (us 30+ folks now) who witnessed Star Wars for the first time on the big screen. Never before had there been a movie like that, and in IMO it had a profound ...

<t>I'm the new guy. It's a pity it took me so long to find more intelligent life on the web. After lurking here for a very short time, it's heartening to find others who share a passion for deep space gaming, it's also good to see a thriving indie-game development community here as well. I'm ...
