Re: Space Race is on
What do you guys think of the change Elon made for SpaceX, changing from Mars to the Moon?
I think their SpaceX Starship programme must be under a bit of pressure to be ready for the Moon missions they committed to a few yeas ago (not just a propellant transfer in 2025 but originally supposed ...

I have updated the LEO Adventures demo with a bunch of improvements. Still digesting a lot of the feedback from NextFest.

Low Earth Orbit Adventures
Hi everyone,
I'm making a space game called Low Earth Orbit Adventures (LEO Adventures). I really love sci-fi that aims for a bit more near-future realism like The Expanse and Gravity. There was a show in the 1980s called "Star Cops" that only lasted 9 episodes that is kind of rough but also kind ...

More 6DOF games in my never-ending quest
Miner Wars - heavily panned game but the devs went on to make Space Engineers! Gives me hope for Cell Sword lol sob
NeonXSZ - I actually already own this one. Underrated!

Re: Working on a new site ... slowly :)
I honestly think self-hosting can make a big comeback (or even be bigger than it ever was). Mobile phones could also easily become personal social media servers to friends and family.... like Facebook but for your closest 100 friends and family.

Re: Working on a new site ... slowly :)
How is the site running for you is it more responsive than before? I know fopr me sometimes pages took 5-10s to load with godaddy and when saving a post would take sometimes more.
The speed is great now. Really responsive. It feels like a normal bulletin board now. Before it was slow. You're ...

Re: Working on a new site ... slowly :)
It looks like maybe some of the bbcode tags like [ quote ] and [ url ] have been converted to plain text OR there is some processing effect that is only run on posts after they are edited that recreate the bbcode effects. For example, in one of my posts the URL tag was visible but after I edited and ...

Re: 6DOF games like Descent
Found a few more while revisiting Cell Sword recently:
Ascentroid - hews very closely to the original Descent by the looks of it.
AquaNox: Deep Descent - A multiplayer 6DOF set underwater. Reviews are iffy and it looks a bit slow tbh.
Null Operator - This is a game from about 2015 but ...

Re: Avatar fire and ice
I saw this and did enjoy it more than I thought. I was very entertained but it felt more like Way of the Water Part 2 than a new Avatar 3. It was long. I never got bored but I wish they had found a way to trim 20 minutes somehow.
