Linux builds are now built against Ubuntu 14.04 LTS, so they should work fine on that and anything of similar vintage.

A long time ago we had a HDR option, but it didn't do a very good job and mostly just caused a lot of graphical glitches. We removed it to make the code cleaner with a view to adding it back it a more controlled way. We haven't got around to it yet.

We're not 100% sure what the minimum requirements are at this point, but we know you're on the borderline. Your best bet at this point is to try the vendor drivers rather than the open-source drivers.

Yay! Robn loves us and wants us to be happy! Well yes, but that's not entirely why
The console can do anything a game script can do. More and more of the game logic is moving out to scripts, so the console continues to get more and more powerful

Actually it won't make much difference, the background is pretty cheap to draw.

Radar mapper: click on a ship, and you'll get some info about it displayed in the top-right of screen.Mining: Equip mining laser, fuel scoop and cargo scoop. Go shoot an asteroid and collect the bits that fall off.Factions: You can't join one yet.All of these things are work-in-progress.

I was surprised that CTRL-M no longer works as we really needed this so we can test out other ships plus to load up our ship to save some grinding time :)Try this instead. Open the console with your backtick/tilde key, and type:import("Game").player:AddMoney(9999999999)

New station screens
I've just merged the station screen rewrite. It'll be build 20131229 which should be available in about an hour.Functionally its pretty much the same, though a few things have moved. Its also all written in Lua and thus easily editable and scriptable.Feedback welcome

I've found that the way to select a ship from the console; import("Game").player:SetShipType("dsminer")doesn't seem to work anymore. Is there an updated command? Thanks.Its still working fine for me.

Possibly. Depends what else ends up in those categories. Right now we don't have enough shader variation to really warrant any changes to settings, but I expect we will.
