RE: GTA 5
<r>This is something I have always hoped for, a game like Elite, but when you land at a space port, you can get out and walk (or drive) about a living city with its own things going on. This would be gaming nirvana 8-)Would be great, GREAT if a certain Cambridge Development Company and Rockstar got ...
RE: Rodina
<t>Only one crash here too, trying to walk around while in limnal drive.I can't figure out how to get stuff like upgrades, did I miss that memo or what? Also, can I completely redesign the ship or is it one shape only?EDIT: Can I make it brighter somehow (and going next to a star with my flying ...

<t>AFAIK, it wasn't just models, it was a whole other engine they were using for the demo footage, the things in the demo were not in the full game, and couldn't be put in there. In other news.... Ouch, though in fairness they were asking for it though with their tactics. The DS version actually looks interesting however.

RE: Mars: War Logs
My thoughts It's a good title, if ropey in places and with.....questionable voice acting, it's surprisingly good in terms of actual gameplay though.

RE: Monaco - What's Yours is Mine
<t>I got ONE free copy to give away. There's not so much a difficulty curve as much as a difficulty vertical slope. Levels 1-2 are easy. 3+? You NEED to pay attention and see what the guards are doing, what traps are set up and look for ways around them. It's fun in co op.Also, having unlocked all the ...

<t>That was probably Voygaer: Elite Force 1. The second isn't bad either, both being FPSes, Elite Force 1 had an addon where you could explore Voyager. Then you got the old (and great) DOS games, 25th Anniversary, Judgement Rites and if you're into ship management and Trekking a la episodes with ...

RE: The new Star trek game
<t>I'd hold off on it though, instead go grab something like FTL or the older Star Trek games, those at least work out of the box and had actual people working on them with ethics.Yes, I'm bitter about the devs basically BSing through their teeth about how the co op works (No it doesn't), they got ...

Monaco - What's Yours is Mine
<t>Yoink! Been keeping an eye on this one, it's PC only for the moment (and on Steam to boot). You got four characters, a Locksmith, who is majorly quick at picking locks, a lookout, who can spot enemies while sneaking, a Mole who can dig through anything, and a Cleaner who can knock out enemies, a ...

RE: The new Star trek game
<t>And they've been faking their Metacritic reviews. Very classy. I was thinking of buying it but nope.Let's see, Co op doesn't work. Invisible ledges on areas so Kirk's hanging in mid air. Dull gameplay, no collision detection in some areas, laggy controls. (And that's from just watching an LP and ...

<t>Gearbox bought the rights Now, I don't usually swear around here but.... FUCKING. GEARBOX. GOT. THE. HOMEWORLD. RIGHTS. What the? Randy freaking PITCHFORD got his mitts on it, the same guy who led the studio that butchered ACM.You watch. They'll make the reboot an FPS or TPS.And worse? We won't ...

I've been upgrading my starting ship and I got an android emulator on my laptop for now.I just wish you could remove or pay to swap out the upgrades, but that'd change the game massively.

RE: Star Traders RPG
<t>Is there anything similar for PC? I love it (having bought the Elite) but wouldn't mind something on my laptop for when I travel and/or don't have my phone.I'm having a hard time building 'my' ship though, is the type of ship on a planet random or is there a pattern? Also, 96 damage for one gun ...

Even then I wouldn't bother, and with the 4GB update that's come out, it still looks and plays awfully.I'd rather play the new SimCity over A: CM, I'd rather sit in a traffic jam, I'd rather....you get the picture.

RE: Aliens: Colonial Marines
See my post above yours. Absolutely awful, horrific linear corridor shooter that feels more like a cheap, plastic generic shooter with xenomorphs than an actual Aliens game.In short, AVOID IT! (okay, I played it on a PC for twenty minutes, but.....)

RE: Aliens: Colonial Marines
A:CM is a horrific mess. Gearbox seem to either put their name on some good games, or awful ones(Sideote: Anyone know where I can get AVP2?)
