RE: Initial like & dislikes (version 0.1a *alpha*)

<t>In my day job, I am a customer service manager. A lot of what I do is supervisory and oversight. I do very little to make the day to day operation happen, instead I am there to iron out the kinks and plan forward. For me, I spend a large part of my day doing 3 or 4 things at once, so when I get ...

RE: Initial like & dislikes (version 0.1a *alpha*)

<t>As far as progression goes, there are times that I find myself doing something else and just letting this run, just like with any city builder. The biggest limiting factor for me as far as progressing up was not tech, but building up resources. I have a philosophy in city builders to never have a ...

<t>Nice that the user interface fits nicely onto the screens, might adjust it a little more to fit better, I have only just been considering getting myself a 3rd monitor, but too many issue including desk space and a single nVidia card, maybe one day.[url]http://www.matrox.com/graphics/en/products ...

RE: Initial like & dislikes (version 0.1a *alpha*)

<t>Personally I've hit a point where I'm really looking forward to seeing more of the larger buildings implemented. The drain on my colony to keep my colony maintained is pushing me towards bigger buildings fast (power was the FIRST thing I upgraded) but I'm noticing that in some tracks the bigger ...

RE: More buildings

<t>I know myself personally I'd like to see either A) more of the storage buildings implemented or B) the generic storage made able to store ore. I find myself having to use cash a lot for larger buildings as ore storage just isn't a widely available thing at this point (unless I'm missing a ...

RE: Additional Alpha "keys"

<t>To force the site to reload the css/js files simply modify their urls to include ?_=1 at the end. This will tell the browser that it's a different page from the one it's used to, but once it reaches the server the ?_=1 will be lost since css and js files do not have dynamic content. This will ...

RE: Feedback on specific features.

<t>I REALLY like the mechanic. Among other things it puts pressure on base developers to continue to push for larger buildings which produce more since the time it takes to repair the equivalent number of smaller buildings is inhibiting. I also really like sphinxgate's interface suggestion. My only ...

Additional Alpha "keys"

<t>I'm posting this here because I'm guessing I'm not the only one with this question. I obviously backed for Alpha. I also at the end increased my pledge to take advantage of the additional copies (2 extra copies personally). Now my wife is wondering if she can get in on the alpha too. So the ...

RE: Initial like & dislikes (version 0.1a *alpha*)

Yeah, not knowing ANYTHING about android development, I suspect that procedural objects bring it to it's knees.Physics timings might be a solution, but of course, upping them lowers performance, so balance is key.

<t>Thanks for your feedback, a few comments to those thoughts.Map controls in operation view are less than intuitive. They feel like an attempt to combine flight mode and overview mode. I'm sure that this is at least partially a carry over from android, so not picking at it, just pointing out.Have ...

RE: Initial like & dislikes (version 0.1a *alpha*)

<t>Ok, I think I've played it enough now to be ready to post. FIrst, the "lacking" (I don't like dislike)Needs an ultimate goal, or achievement system. I know this has been mentioned elsewhere. Something to work towards. City building is fun and all that, but without some goal, a lot of people like ...

<t>It would be nice if when you're in a menu with a "Cancel" button that esc would back out of that menu instead of closing (or just pausing) the game. This is an intuitive thing that has resulted in me actually only keeping the game running for about 5 minutes at a time tops. (Restarting it plenty ...

RE: Alpha Bug Reporting

<t>For bug tracking solutions I've used bugzilla and trac to great success. Trac is more of a complete project management system (which I've used on many projects) and really requires a lot of set up. bugzilla on the other hand at least seems slimmer and a simpler install (I've never set it up, just ...

<t>The right click to purchase issue appears to be resolution dependent. On certain resolutions (still figuring out which ones exactly) the left half of the button doesn't capture the mouse input, but since right click doesn't do anything else it usually still triggers the button. alpha opinions, experiences...

I arrived at work literally 10 minutes before the alpha came out, so I wont be able to play it for about 6 more hours. I'm wondering if anyone has any early experiences I can live vicariously through for the next few hours...
