RE: Chris Roberts Star Citizen

<t>The Live stream for Citizen Con is tonight as well, the countdown is on the main site. Happy 2nd birthday Star Citizen! Also, I have really started playing AC a lot, and I am enjoying it even though it's still a few patches away from being just right. If anyone wants to schedule a spectrum match ...

RE: Chris Roberts Star Citizen
<t>I was finally able to download the latest version and patch, and played for about 30 minutes today. One good thing, track IR is working now, and it's pretty good in 1st person, still a little wonky in 3rd person. The other big thing is the training wheels are off for combat, and it's much harder ...

RE: Chris Roberts Star Citizen
<t>~S~ Going to be interesting to see what happens at PAX .... Will they release the DFM the next day/week or month lol From the way WIngman spoke in last week's Hangar, I'd say a month is a little more accurate than days or a week. It might also be a staggered release as well, so prepare for that ...

RE: Chris Roberts Star Citizen
No worries
Save that post for about a week though. Do any of you here plan on using a Hotas or head tracking? I'm looking at getting a TrackIR soon, and maybe a CH setup down the line after seeing how the DFM plays out.

RE: Chris Roberts Star Citizen
<t>Well, they hadn't hit $39 million just yet: FUNDS RAISED 38,572,197 STAR CITIZENS 389,861 8,906 slots left But at this rate, it won't be much longer. I am curious to see what the $40 million stretch goal will be, Chris promised something that will chart the future of the game. Also, I am starting ...

Just a fair warning, it will stress your GPU's, mine get's taxed at 99% with this mod. Still, it was really nice to check out the Stella, Freelancer and Avenger.

RE: Chris Roberts Star Citizen
<t>They haven't released any art for it yet, it was an early stretch goal unlock. http://starcitizen.wikia.com/wiki/AMX-1_Repair_Droid As for it being unfair, they will be purchasable with in game credits like anything else, and I imagine a player will be able to repair faster than a bot ...

RE: Chris Roberts Star Citizen
Looking at the latest footage i suddenly want an Astromech Droid on my ship. If you are a backer you will get a repair bot, if not you can buy one later. I'm sure they will be reskinned in no time to look like astromechs.

RE: Chris Roberts Star Citizen
<t>This is just incredible. They will also have FPS combat on the ground at the $20 million dollar stretch goal. I don't think "game" really defines this anymore, this is going to be so much to do and so many different roles. This link kind of sums up more of what I was trying to say. http ...

new web site for SC http://www.robertsspaceindustries.com/sneak-peak-the-new-website/ I thought the present site was the new one. Not quite, they just moved it to vBulletin to make it a little more robust... This new site will have the "wall" up between backers and the public.

RE: EA tried to get Star Citizen
Well, I for see a lot of them releasing "beta"s of their game and giving pre-orders "Founder" status. A lot of them are already doing it, to give the impression that the games were crowd funded.
